Requirements
  • ITI, Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a relevant technical qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire & life safety systems, kitchen/laundry equipment, and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Engineer to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property.
  • Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast with the technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.
  • Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of ibis, Mumbai Airportto ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
  • Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.
  • Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
  • Ensure that the team is trained in all safety provisions.
  • Ensure optimal, cost-effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
  • Inspect regularly to assess the state of the buildings and of the installations. This applies to the inspections of: all stonework, brickwork, paint works, coating, facing, covering, flooring, plumbing and carpentry, and questions concerning the heating, air conditioning, hot water tank as well as electrical problems relevant to high and low current (telephone, television, neon signs, kitchen equipment, vacuum cleaners, etc.), questions concerning refrigeration (refrigerating unit) and the functioning of elevators.
  • To supervise the operations of Air-conditioning plant, boilers, pumps etc.
  • Follow proper safety measures.
  • Check and ensure that the temperature of cold stores, public areas etc. are maintained as per the specifications.
  • Ensure that all complaints are recorded and attended to promptly ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments for preventive maintenance of the equipment.
  • Check and ensure proper handling, operation and maintenance of all the equipment.
  • Ensure that desired level of water is maintained in water storage tanks.
  • Check and ensure the working condition of fire detectors, fire fighting systems, transformers, electrical systems, etc.
  • Check and ensure that proper safety measures have been adhered to and also ensure maintenance of all fire fighting equipment.
  • Establish and maintain safe working conditions and practices following Accor Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure all practicable steps are taken to maintain a safe work environment following Accor Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure all staff within the department are fully conversant with departmental fire and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure all hazards are recorded and reported to the Management and that they are investigated appropriately with controls identified and reviewed.
  • Implement Accor policy on prevention of Harassment/ Bullying in the Workplace according to guidelines.
  • Ensure all protective clothing and equipment is provided to employees where necessary, maintained and they are train its use.
  • Ensure all workplace accidents and incidents are reported accurately and promptly on the prescribed form, with appropriate investigation and corrective action taken.
  • All serious harm accidents are reported to management immediately and within 7 days in writing.
  • All new and transferring staff have training and ongoing supervision to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform work tasks in a safe manner.
  • Rehabilitation support and assistance is provided to injured workers following Accor guidelines.
  • Review and develop health and safety policy objectives and plans at least annually.
  • Be proactive in keeping departmental health and safety records and information up to date.
  • Ensure site visitor / contractor entry procedures are applied.
  • Employee Responsibility: All employees to safeguard their health and safety and the health and safety of others, in the workplace.
  • Replacement & Temporary Mission: Be ready and responsible for any job, which may be assigned by the Management.

  • Experience in an international hotel chain is preferred.
