Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a building maintenance capacity is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility environment is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to maintain a polite and courteous demeanor toward residents and staff members.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building, building systems, fire and safety equipment, and medical equipment.
  • Perform all necessary repairs, maintain accurate records and logs, and produce required reports.
  • Assure compliance with state and federal regulatory codes.
  • Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and Corporate Compliance Plan.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the maintenance workshop at all times.
  • Read and log refrigerator temperatures daily.
  • Test and log water temperatures daily.
  • Observe budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and services and follow proper procedures relating to FutureCare’s purchase order system.
  • Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work a flexible shift is highly desirable.
