What You’ll do:
This is a full funnel, pure outbound sales opportunity. Your work will involve building relationships with retail operators, finding problems, and offering relevant solutions. All of this in the spirit of providing safe access to cannabis. Our Business Development Representatives prospect with the goal of generating qualified opportunities for our sales team. You will be the voice of Jane as we help cannabis retailers to evaluate and adopt best-in-class technology. You will report to the Director of Business Development.
You are a self-motivated, team player who can leverage creativity in their selling approach. You are very motivated, goal-oriented, and understand solution-selling. As a pure outbound role, we look for candidates who love making cold calls and developing relationships on the phone.
We are looking for strong relationship building, a hunter mentality, and self driven pipeline development. Relationship building is important in this role and is best done on the phone in this industry.
We always wants to promote internally. There is dynamic upward mobility from this role. With success, retail BDR’s graduate vertically into departments and roles based on their desires/ track record.
While we work as a team, each representative has their own territory. We work as a team to share insights, best practices, and personal development wins. Our reps are self-motivated by an individual quota and try to better their skills and attitude every day with the help of their team.
Responsibilities:
- Retail opportunity generation
- Research cannabis retail operations and their stakeholders
- Work with an Account Executive to generate qualified meetings
- Organize and scheduling outbound activities to drive engagement
- Seamlessly scheduling and handing off meetings to an Account Executive
- Reporting to leadership on market-insights and industry insights
Qualifications:
- A love of cold calling and relationship development
- 1+ years B2B SaaS sales experience
- Creative research skills
- Experience with outbound sales tools (Salesloft, Outreach)
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Comfortable with video selling (Vidyard, Wistia)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience meeting/exceeding a sales quota
