Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in human resources, payroll, or administrative support is preferred.
  • The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • The candidate must be able to draft policy documents, reports, presentations, and coaching materials.
  • The candidate must be comfortable facilitating meetings and communicating human resources policies, processes, and updates to leadership and frontline employees.
  • Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills are required, including the ability to evaluate human resources scenarios, apply sound judgment, analyze data, and recommend compliant, practical solutions.
  • The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on-site human resources contact for employees and supervisors, providing guidance on human resources policies, payroll, benefits, and timekeeping.
  • Support new-hire onboarding, including accurate human resources information system setup.
  • Partner with supervisors to address employee relations issues involving attendance, policy compliance, and performance concerns, escalating complex matters to human resources leadership.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees on workplace concerns and promote positive employee relations.
  • Support employee engagement programs, safety initiatives, and training coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, and employment laws.
  • Review weekly and biweekly timekeeping submissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Respond to employee questions about pay, deductions, and timekeeping, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Enter and maintain employee data changes, including hires, promotions, terminations, and status changes, in the human resources information system.
  • Conduct audits to ensure human resources and payroll records are accurate and consistent.
  • Prepare routine human resources and payroll reports for site and leadership use.
  • Support administration of employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Manage 401(k) processes, including employee inquiries.
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and related communications.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and wage/hour regulations.
  • Support audit preparation and annual reporting requirements such as W-2s, 1095-Cs, and equal employment opportunity reporting.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee data and sensitive human resources matters.
  • Recommend improvements to human resources, payroll, and site processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with human resources information system and payroll system updates, testing, and process rollouts.
  • Provide feedback from site employees and managers to human resources leadership to support ongoing improvements.
  • Travel regularly to facilities within the assigned geographical region to provide on-site human resources support and maintain visibility across supported locations.
  • Attend key meetings on-site and maintain visibility across supported locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • HR/payroll coursework or certification is preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to employee relations, payroll, or human resources information system platforms is a plus.
