Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) and Mammography registered (M)
- Three years of clinical experience in Mammography as a Registered Mammography Technologist
- Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Responsibilities
- Interviews, trains, orients, counsels, evaluates, and administers disciplinary action.
- Recommends hiring decisions and disciplinary actions to manager.
- Schedules personnel, approves paid time off (PTO) and authorizes time and attendance.
- Assists Manager with developing and monitoring capital and operating budgets for cost center.
- Monitors quality of scans and procedures in department.
- Assists Manager in developing and administering the Quality Improvement Plan and departmental policies and procedures.
- Reports on equipment, personnel, and other issues through management team meetings and written reports.
- Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of a Mammography Technologist.
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Manager.
- Demonstrates service excellence behaviors routinely in encounters with all customers, coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, auxiliars, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
