  • Experience building end-to-end machine learning operations pipelines with continuous integration and continuous delivery, automated testing, model versioning, and monitoring using Kubeflow, MLflow, TFX, or similar tools, and deploying models in production and development environments is required.
  • Experience instrumenting pipelines with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or Stackdriver, and OpenTelemetry, and implementing automated model-drift detection, data-quality checks, and compliance audit trails is required.
  • The ability to translate complex business problems, including computer vision, natural language processing, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection, into robust machine learning solutions and evaluate them against domain-specific key performance indicators such as accuracy, latency, cost, and safety is required.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java are required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking are required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with generative artificial intelligence models, including prompt engineering, chain-of-thought reasoning, and natural language processing tasks such as entity extraction, summarization, and semantic search, are required.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers, leading cross-functional artificial intelligence projects, and clearly communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences is required.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills are required.
  • Familiarity with deployment into virtualized and containerized environments such as VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes is required.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to own initiative execution from start to finish while adapting to evolving curriculum needs and mission priorities are required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering subject matter expert for AIDETL interns and staff, providing authoritative guidance on artificial intelligence strategy, architecture, policy, and implementation aligned with mission objectives.
  • Provide expert-level training, workshops, and briefings to AIDETL interns on artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and best practices.
  • Assist in AIDETL curriculum development.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • NAVSEA Seaport Enhanced gives SRC access to a $3.5 billion, 15-year Navy pipeline.
  • The August 2026 Navy contract for C4I engineering broadens work across multiple ship fleets.
  • CBP kept SRC as incumbent for $21.39 million aircraft sensor support through September 2026.

What critics are saying

  • CBP’s Aircraft Sensors Technical Support Services ends September 22, 2026, forcing recompete risk.
  • SRC’s growth depends on defense contracting cycles and incumbent renewals, not product revenue.
  • Private ownership and federal concentration make a single protest or budget cut damaging.

What makes Scientific Research Corporation unique

  • SRC won NAVSEA Seaport Enhanced across seven zones in March 2026.
  • SRC holds deep C4I, cyber, and aircraft-sensor sustainment work across Navy and CBP.
  • SRC remains embedded in follow-on federal vehicles, including OASIS UNR and Seaport.
