About the job
- An associate degree or certification in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Intermediate understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, Human-Machine Interface, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems is required.
- The candidate must be available for an on-call rotation addressing after-hours and weekend emergencies.
- The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment is required.
- The candidate must be able to climb, walk, twist, and bend; stand or sit for extended periods; safely lift at least 70 pounds; and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Assist with the installation and setup of automated machinery and control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in automated systems.
- Document maintenance activities and system performance.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work with 480-volt three-phase systems and applicable control voltages.
- Modify control wiring and Programmable Logic Controller programming, back up files, and update electrical prints.
- Perform or assist with other electrical or mechanical maintenance duties as required.
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
