Requirements
  • Must be able to assist physicians in the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist
  • Skill set must be maintained to handle supplies/instrumentation associated with interventional procedures
  • Maintains licensure and BLS
  • NJ DEP license required upon hire
  • Current ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists license
  • Current NJ-RADTECH - New Jersey Radiology Technologist license
  • Graduation from anAMA approved program for Diagnostic Radiology and therefore registry eligible
Responsibilities
  • Assists interventionalists in all procedures within the scope of interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery to include but not limited to oncology, vascular and trauma
  • Maintains work area and reports maintenance issues for equipment; monitors supplies and deficiencies
  • Adheres to Infection Prevention policies and utilizes the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment needed
  • Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport)
  • Remains compliant with timekeeping rules
  • Adheres to departmental procedures and fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements
  • Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications
Desired Qualifications
  • 1-2 year of Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology preferred
