JOB TITLE:  

Facility Employee   

JOB PURPOSE:   

Provide a safe and clean environment for Half Acre patrons to recreate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provide excellent customer service
• Oversee main workout area to ensure safety of all users
• Enforce facility policies
• Routinely clean equipment and various facility spaces
• Assist in providing towel service
• Assist with restocking cleaning supplies
• Check out day-use equipment
• Assist Recreation Staff with daily operational tasks
• Effectively communicate with other Campus Recreation staff

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: 

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: High School diploma (or GED), current UW student

Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

• Willingness to work in a team environment
• Self-motivated
• Energetic personality   
• Previous experience in the recreation industry
• Previous experience in a customer service role

WORK LOCATION:

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
