- A secondary-school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least three years of experience performing related functions is required.
- Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information is required.
- A proactive, rigorous, and detail-oriented approach is required.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, or bending instructions.
- Plan the bending sequence for parts.
- Set the press-brake pressure and stroke according to the material and thickness.
- Program the press brake and perform bending operations.
- Verify that the finished product conforms to the drawings or bending instructions.
- Make corrections or adjustments when necessary.
- Use measuring tools including a protractor, vernier caliper, imperial and metric tape measure, calculator, and overhead crane.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector.
