- Strong Linux (CentOS) server management skills.
- Strong developer operations experience.
- Ability to provide architectural direction and process improvements.
- At least 7 years of professional web development experience in related technologies.
- At least 3 years of Ruby on Rails experience.
- At least 2 years of professional JavaScript experience.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Strong understanding of software security best practices.
- Experience building software using Agile concepts and processes.
- Work closely with internal engineers to refine the development process and build deployment automation.
- Support arbitrary deployment of individual features so every Git branch can be deployed to production.
- Automatically merge a feature branch to the master branch after successful deployment while keeping the master branch as a clean representation of production.
- Automatically deploy every submitted pull request to an isolated test environment for autonomous validation.
- Enable command-triggered deployment of feature branches to a staging environment, including command-driven rollback.
- Enable command-triggered deployment of the current staging application version to production, including command-driven rollback.
- After completing the automation work, perform feature development with the Online Store development team for the duration of the contract.
