Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.

We are looking for an Autonomy Software and Test Intern to join our team for summer 2025. The goal of an Autonomy Software and Test Intern at Wisk is to prototype and test our autonomy software. You will be part of the Autoflight and Navigation team that is responsible for developing and testing all the onboard software that allows Wisk to fly autonomously in the national airspace.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Autonomy and Airspace Integration organization, and deployed in the Autoflight and Navigation: Flight Planning and Contingency Management team, you will act as an FPCM intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
You will take part in developing and testing the FPCM autonomy software suite in simulation and flight.
You will help support problem solving activities in enhancing our testing infrastructure and driving feature development, ensuring we meet critical deadlines.
You will take part in executing integrated tests, developing scripts and tools for testing, and collaborating with the team to develop and test our simulation capabilities.

Requirements:

Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
Must be pursuing a degree in a field of engineering, such as Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with C/C++ (highly preferred), Python, and/or Matlab.
Experience writing and executing integration tests
Experience with any of the following is preferred: CI/CD, Docker, Git/Gitlab/Github, path planing and trajectory and/ or debugging failure modes

Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.

This internship role will be based at Wisk’s office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

You must be legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of Internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college

Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required

Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
