Requirements
  • A Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal qualification, with the ability to operate credibly with senior attorneys and in-house counsel.
  • At least 5 years of intellectual property attorney experience at a top-tier law firm or sophisticated in-house team, including patent prosecution and/or intellectual property litigation.
  • Deep fluency in patent practice and workflows, including prosecution, portfolio management, due diligence, validity and invalidity, infringement and non-infringement, and related patent-intelligence work.
  • The ability to build trust quickly, establish credibility at all levels, and develop strong relationships with key decision makers.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation ability, including leading discovery, whiteboarding, and delivering compelling demonstrations and training to legal and executive audiences.
  • An extreme ownership and product mindset, with comfort operating across the company, taking responsibility for outcomes, and proactively driving clarity.

Responsibilities
  • Support go-to-market activities, including pre-sale, proof-of-concepts, pilots, closing, and post-sale work, as well as product roadmap, development, release testing, quality assurance, partnerships, and marketing.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to guide product direction, troubleshoot real use cases, improve usability for legal teams, and contribute to roadmap prioritization, release testing, and quality assurance.
  • Act as the voice of the customer through a patent-law lens by synthesizing feedback, identifying patterns, and helping teams make better go-to-market and product decisions.
  • Engage with patent professionals at current and prospective customers to understand workflow challenges and communicate and demonstrate how the platform solves those problems throughout the customer journey.
  • Translate real patent-practice needs into practical solutions spanning prosecution, portfolio work, diligence, disputes-adjacent analysis, validity and invalidity, infringement and non-infringement, and related patent-intelligence workflows.
  • Lead consultative product demonstrations tailored to law-firm practice groups and in-house teams by asking discovery questions and showcasing relevant workflows, features, and outcomes.
  • Drive and support pilots end-to-end by collaborating across functions and maintaining clear dialogue internally and with customers.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and refine technically accurate collateral for patent professionals, including messaging, presentation decks, case studies, and whitepapers.

  • Customer-facing or commercial experience is a plus, including law firm business development, secondments, training or enablement, or direct responsibility for client matters and client relationships.
