Requirements
- Three to five or more years of operational management experience in an industrial environment.
- A proactive approach and the ability to prioritize and act with a sense of urgency.
- The ability to lead critical conversations and develop improvement plans as needed.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel locally as required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee plant operations, including job completion, quality, safety, maintenance, and logistics, to achieve operational, financial, and productivity goals.
- Schedule and coordinate processes to ensure production targets and customer deadlines are met.
- Lead, coach, and develop department leads and supervisors while fostering engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely and effective performance management and recognition for site team members.
- Review site performance indicators and data and recommend process optimization strategies.
- Support management of the profit and loss statement, operate within budget, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and schedules.
- Track and approve paid time off and hours worked and provide input and support on interviewing, hiring, development, training, and performance management.
- Drive proactive actions to foster employee engagement and ensure a respectful, ethical work environment.
- Communicate with customers, upper management, and internal teams regarding production timing, quality, and delivery.
- Partner with the General Manager to lead monthly all-hands meetings.
- Model company policies and values and promote a positive work environment.
- Champion safety and quality initiatives, culture surveys, and recognition programs.
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
- Operational management experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of injection molding manufacturing processes and tooling is desired.
