Requirements
  • Certified Journeyperson Electrician or equivalent recognized electrical certification.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial processing, or grain handling facilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in industrial electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, motor controls, and industrial automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and automation systems to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and service motors, drives, conveyors, and related production equipment.
  • Diagnose and support Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and automated systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Support grain handling and manufacturing equipment maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members on mechanical and non-electrical maintenance tasks as required.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in grain handling, agricultural processing, or food manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with automated production systems and process controls.
  • Additional industrial maintenance or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance practices.
