Requirements
  • A 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (rising junior or senior preferred).
  • Coursework, class projects, or self-directed work that shows you can write SQL queries and think through a data problem.
  • You are comfortable starting from a fuzzy question and working toward a clear answer.
  • You can explain what you found and why it matters to someone who didn’t run the analysis.
  • A proactive mindset. You spot the thing no one asked about. You follow up when a result doesn’t look right. You find work to do rather than waiting for it to find you.
  • When you take on a task, you see it through. You don’t hand back half-finished work and wait for someone else to close it out.
Responsibilities
  • Your primary deliverable for the summer will be a reporting automation project.. You’ll scope, build, and ship an AI-powered reporting automation solution covering a marketing vertical, reducing manual effort, improving consistency, and making it faster for the team to get to answers. This is real work that will stay in production after you leave.
  • Claude is your primary tool for this project. You’ll use it to design workflows, generate and review SQL, automate templated outputs, and document your work. Learning to prompt well and trust-but-verify AI output is a core skill you’ll develop this summer.
  • Support day-to-day analytical work across growth marketing, CRM, registration, and website: data pulls, dashboard updates, and ad-hoc queries alongside your main project.
  • Present your project at the end of the summer to the Marketing Science team and stakeholders. Walk through the problem, your approach, what you built, and what it saves.
  • Keep your work documented. Clean write-ups, clear SQL, and documented workflows are a team standard, not an afterthought.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools for analytical or technical tasks.

Greenlight is a fintech platform that helps families manage money by combining a debit card for kids, a credit-building option, and investing tools in one app. Parents can fund allowances and set up chores or direct deposits, and kids use the card for spending. The app encourages saving with a savings feature that offers up to 5% and lets families set savings goals, while an investing platform lets families research stocks and ETFs to grow long-term wealth. It also offers a credit card that earns up to 3% cash back, with cash back automatically invested to fund future expenses like college. Parents can add teens as authorized users to help them build credit before age 18. Greenlight earns revenue through subscription plans (Greenlight Max and Infinity) that unlock additional wealth-building features. Overall, the goal is to teach children and teens about saving, investing, and responsible spending while helping families grow money safely.
