Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
  • A valid Ohio LSW, LPC, or MFT license is required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families is required.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy are required.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment is required.
  • Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and professional skill in working with diverse individuals, groups, and communities are required.
  • Professional verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills are required.
  • Adherence to professional ethical values, accountability, Agency policies, and procedures is required.
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a professional team that includes employees, clients, and family members is required.
  • Ability to recognize problems, gather and assess information to identify root causes, and make timely decisions is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage curriculum and treatment for youth in the Residential Treatment Program.
  • Provide clinical services, including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans and reviews, individual and group counseling, family therapy, consultation, aftercare planning, and termination reports.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members on treatment planning, progress, and ongoing needs in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Lead groups and teams and provide clinical planning for therapeutic groups and individual clients involved in Day Treatment and Group Therapy.
  • Assist with crisis intervention, problem resolution, and process discussions with clients as assigned or needed.
  • Protect clients from physical and emotional harm, including through use of the Therapeutic Crisis Model of Intervention and physical restraints as necessary.
  • Attend staffing and clinical rounds as needed for youth and families.
  • Contribute to clinical records by completing assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Provide backup support to other staff members as directed.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
  • Keep required trainings, certifications, and licensure current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Protect client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with Agency guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Bellefaire JCB receives $522K grant to fight youth violence

The Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, recently awarded a $522,000 grant to Bellefaire JCB to create the Begun Center for Youth and Family Resiliency, which aims to reduce youth violence through social skills education and conflict resolution training, according to a news release.
