Quarterhill awarded $5.25 million Oklahoma DOT contract to modernize commercial vehicle screening infrastructure. Jul 30, 2026, 08:00 ET Project expands intelligent screening technologies at a major Interstate 35 weigh station, helping improve commercial vehicle operations, roadway safety and freight mobility TORONTO, July 30, 2026 /CNW/ - Quarterhill Inc. Quarterhill will deploy advanced commercial vehicle screening technologies at an existing weigh station along Interstate 35, helping manage growing commercial vehicle traffic along one of Oklahoma's busiest freight corridors while improving efficiency, safety and performance. Beginning in August 2026, Quarterhill will deploy a comprehensive technology suite for ODOT, including Mainline and Ramp Sorter Systems, Weigh-In-Motion, Electronic Screening, Tire Anomaly Classification System (TACS) technology and Dimensioning capabilities. Quarterhill to triple tolling revenue in $70M Conduent acquisition

Quarterhill has agreed to acquire substantially all assets of Conduent's tolling solutions business for $70 million in cash plus shares representing 7% of the company. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. The acquisition will approximately triple Quarterhill's tolling revenue and create a combined backlog of around $2 billion. On a pro-forma basis after synergies, the enlarged group would generate over $400 million in annual revenue with adjusted EBITDA margins of 10 to 15%. The acquired business provides end-to-end tolling services for government agencies across the United States and United Kingdom, including roadside systems, back-office operations, payment processing and customer care. The cash consideration will be funded through debt, whilst Conduent will retain its 7% equity stake subject to staged lock-up periods. Completion requires Toronto Stock Exchange approval and customary regulatory clearances. The transaction marks Conduent's second transportation divestiture in 2026 as it continues simplifying its portfolio.
