nVent Electric raises 2026 outlook on AI data centre demand, expects $2B+ data centre sales

nVent Electric reported 53% year-over-year sales growth in Q2 2026, reaching $1.47 billion, driven largely by surging AI data center demand. The company's infrastructure vertical saw organic sales more than double, with data center sales expected to exceed $2 billion in 2026. Strong demand for liquid cooling solutions prompted nVent to open its Blaine facility in Minnesota earlier this year, doubling capacity. The company has already announced a second facility, Blaine 2, set to open in the first half of 2027. nVent raised its 2026 outlook, now expecting reported sales growth of 37-39% and organic sales growth of 32-34%, up from previous ranges of 26-28% and 21-23% respectively. Roth Capital raises price target for nVent Electric (NYSE: NVT) amid data center and AI growth. * Roth Capital raised its price target for nVent Electric (NYSE: NVT), reflecting confidence in the company's growth outlook. * The company's planned acquisition of Maverick Power for approximately $1.75 billion is set to expand its offerings in the growing data center and AI infrastructure markets. * nVent Electric demonstrates strong fundamentals, with a backlog of about $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion and strong organic growth supporting anticipated earnings growth. An analyst at Roth Capital raised the price target for nVent Electric (NYSE: NVT) to $195.00 from $185.00 while maintaining a Buy rating. nVent Electric provides electrical connection and protection solutions. It is increasingly focused on infrastructure, particularly for data centers, which house large computer systems and related power and cooling equipment. The new price target suggests a potential upside of approximately 27.2% from nVent Electric's price of $153.35 at the time of the announcement. A price target is an analyst's projection of a stock's future value. This optimistic view is supported by the company's recent strategic activity and strong market position. This positive outlook follows nVent Electric's plan to acquire Maverick Power for approximately $1.75 billion, as reported by Reuters. The deal also includes a potential additional cash payment of up to $550 million if Maverick reaches certain performance targets. This move is designed to expand nVent Electric's product offerings for the data center market, especially power distribution equipment needed to support artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. As highlighted by Seeking Alpha, nVent Electric is well-positioned to benefit from the rising need for data center power and cooling. The company has a substantial backlog of about $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion, which represents confirmed future revenue from orders that have not yet been filled. This, along with strong organic growth, is expected to support future earnings growth. Further reinforcing this positive sentiment, nVent Electric was included in the Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) list of momentum stocks, as highlighted by Zacks Investment Research. The stock has a 52-week range between $87.16 and $184.64 and a current market capitalization of approximately $24.8 billion.
