Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the overall activities and operations of a full-service branch office, including tracking and monitoring sales and customer service performance against established plans and objectives.
  • Communicate with existing and potential customers in the branch and through outside solicitation efforts to introduce products and services to new consumers and commercial businesses.
  • Solicit customers, businesses, communities, and civic organizations to generate new business; conduct sales, service, and product training for staff.
  • Develop a branch business plan to ensure maximum profitability for targeted banking products.
  • Ensure that procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities are performed.
  • Prepare financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, and senior management.
  • Represent the bank at community functions and community organizations to market and promote bank products and services.
  • Oversee performance management of branch staff and manage one or more subordinate supervisors who supervise other employees throughout the branch.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

East West Bancorp targets 7-9% revenue growth in 2026 through organic expansion strategy

East West Bancorp's organic growth strategy is driving revenue expansion through balanced sheet growth and diversified fee income. The company's total revenues rose 11.4% to $1.56 billion in the first half of 2026 compared with the prior-year period. Net interest income grew at a 9.7% compound annual growth rate during 2019-2025, supported by loan growth and favourable deposit mix. Average loans increased 7.1% year over year to $57.6 billion in the first half of 2026, whilst non-interest-bearing deposits rose 19% to comprise 26% of total deposits. Management expects net interest income to grow 7-9% and loans to rise 6-8% in 2026. Non-interest income, driven by deposit account fees and lending fees, is projected to see double-digit growth through continued client acquisition and wealth management expansion.
