Responsibilities
  • Explain, promote, and sell bank products and services as appropriate based on individual customer needs.
  • Support the relationship banking culture through ongoing customer contact, exceptional customer service, and superior product knowledge.
  • Provide administrative support to the loan officer, including closing, funding, and booking loans; preparing loan worksheets; and collecting and ordering necessary documents such as flood certificates, title work, and appraisals.
  • Assist customers in completing loan and credit applications.
  • Update loan information in the computer system.
  • Ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
  • Assemble and verify the accuracy of loan documentation by checking proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates, and signatures.
  • Prepare and monitor lines of credit advances.
  • Prepare and send wire forms to the Wire Department for customer-requested wires, participation loans, and loan funding.
  • Handle advances and paydowns on floor plan lines of credit.
  • Monitor and maintain sold and bought participation loans.
  • Prepare and close deferrals.
  • Assist the loan officer with exception reports.
  • Coordinate loan closings.
  • Gather and send necessary information to the customer service representative to open and change customer accounts.
  • Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and account information.
  • Receive and post loan payments.
  • Prepare and mail past-due and collection letters.
  • Provide NADA values for customers.
  • Perform clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to a supervisor as needed.
  • Complete required annual compliance examinations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Recommend methods to improve the department to a supervisor.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
