Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Travel may be required between offices.
- Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurance is required.
- The role requires results orientation, patient advocacy, process focus, financial acumen, and the ability to influence patients and team members.
- The candidate must be self-motivated, reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to multitask without compromising quality.
- The candidate must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be able to handle and maintain the confidentiality of patient records.
- The candidate must be organized and detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
- Gain a financial commitment from patients to start the dentistry diagnosed by the Dentist.
- Achieve proficiency in the PDS system and use its tools, skills, and talents to assist patients in making the best decision for their wants and needs.
- Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician for every examination patient.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on available financial options so patients can choose dentistry that fits their budget.
- Professionally overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
- Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations before patients complete treatment when required.
- Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model, including referrals outside the office.
- Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
- Understand business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics and results.
- Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand by making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework.
- Become knowledgeable about the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies and address others professionally and respectfully.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
