Wolters Kluwer enhances Genya Expert AI: automated bank reconciliation for Italian accounting firms.

Wolters Kluwer enhances Genya Expert AI: automated bank reconciliation for Italian accounting firms. Wolters Kluwer launches Genya Riconciliazione Estratti Conto on October 15, 2026: AI-powered bank statement reconciliation for Italian studi professionali. Impact analysis. Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Italia announced on October 15, 2026 two new Expert AI capabilities in its Genya cloud suite for Italian accounting firms (studi professionali): a natural language conversational interface and Genya Riconciliazione Estratti Conto, an automated bank reconciliation module that interprets transactions and suggests invoice-to-supplier matches (ChannelTech.it, October 15, 2026). Both capabilities extend the group's Expert AI strategy, which combines generative, agentic, and domain-specific AI across its vertical product lines. Stocker en ligne A mature market held back by a persistent manual task. Italy's studi professionali market - accounting firms, tax advisors, and business consultants - is among Europe's most advanced in digital compliance. Since the mandatory e-invoicing requirement via the SDI system came into force in 2019, these firms have built operational expertise that few European markets can match. Yet bank reconciliation has remained one of the last major time-consuming manual tasks: line-by-line comparison of bank statements against accounting records, identification of unmatched transactions, and reclassification of ambiguous transaction descriptions. For a firm managing several SME clients, this is repetitive work that consumes accountant time on low-value-added tasks. Wolters Kluwer is drawing on more than ten years of AI investment for this release (ChannelTech.it). Adoption evidence already exists on the same platform: Genya Dichiarativi Expert AI, launched in March 2026, was adopted by approximately 2,500 studi professionali in its first 60 days, generating nearly 50,000 queries (ibid.). That figure signals genuine demand among Italian firms for AI capabilities embedded directly in their practice management tools. Practical impact for accounting firms and their SME clients. Two features, two distinct productivity gains. The conversational interface lets practitioners query their accounting data in natural language without leaving their workflow in Genya. Rather than navigating between screens to find a client balance or check a payment deadline, the professional asks a question and receives a contextualised answer. For a firm handling dozens of files simultaneously, this directly reduces navigation time on routine lookup tasks. Genya Riconciliazione Estratti Conto goes further: the module interprets bank transactions along with associated data (clients, suppliers, amounts, invoices, due dates) to automatically suggest matches within Genya. Sergio Liscia, VP and General Manager of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Italia, summarises the ambition: "AI becomes truly useful when it stops being perceived as a separate technology and integrates naturally into professionals' daily work" (ChannelTech.it). For a CFO or accounting manager processing bank statements in volume, the operational value is clear: automating transaction matching frees time for variance analysis, supplier dispute resolution, and higher-value advisory work. Human oversight remains necessary - the module proposes, the accountant validates. In the competitive studi professionali market, this announcement positions Wolters Kluwer against TeamSystem and Zucchetti, both of which have launched their own AI initiatives in this segment. Zucchetti, the national market leader with over 700,000 clients (zucchetti.it), and TeamSystem have invested heavily in their digital offerings. Differentiation now comes down to the depth of AI integration within existing business workflows, not the breadth of core functional coverage. What to watch. The real test will be matching quality in production. An automated reconciliation module only delivers operational value if the match rate is high enough to reduce manual work without introducing more errors to correct than it resolves. Maintaining the reference data corpus - suppliers, recurring transaction descriptions, chart of accounts - will be critical to long-term reliability. The coming weeks of production usage feedback, particularly from firms managing clients with complex banking flows, will be the true performance indicator. Choisir un ERP Never miss its ERP guides. Wolters Kluwer integrates conversational AI into Genya for professional services and smes.

Wolters Kluwer integrates conversational AI into Genya for professional services and smes. Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting announced multiple new AI functionalities in Genya, its cloud suite for Italian tax and accounting professionals, such as a new chat experience and automated bank statement reconciliation. Powered by Expert AI, the conversational interface allows professionals to query data, information and knowledge in natural language, and to receive clarifications, insights and contextual support directly within their workflow. Genya Bank Statement Reconciliation, also powered by Expert AI, allows the platform to automatically interpret bank transactions and related information, including customers, suppliers, amounts, invoices and due dates, and suggests potential matches. "Artificial intelligence becomes truly useful when it fades into the background as technology and integrates naturally into the way professionals work," said Sergio Liscia, Vice President & General Manager, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Europe Region South. "With Genya Expert AI, we are making it easier to access the firm's information, while keeping the professional firmly at the center of the decision-making process and reducing the operational steps involved in their daily activities." The launch of these new AI functionalities demonstrates what embedded AI looks like in practice: not a separate tool for individual tasks, but a capability built into day-to-day processes, freeing professionals to focus on higher-value advisory work. Part of a global Expert AI strategy These new capabilities expand the work already started with Genya Dichiarativi Expert AI, launched in March 2026, which allows professionals to query ministerial guidance in natural language while completing tax declarations, drawing exclusively on authoritative official sources rather than requiring them to search lengthy external documents. In its first 60 days, Genya Dichiarativi Expert AI was used by around 2,500 professional firms, generating almost 50,000 questions. Wolters Kluwer's Expert AI strategy is shaped by more than a decade of AI investment and innovation. It combines generative, agentic and domain-specific capabilities with deep expertise and close collaboration with customers and technology partners, helping professionals work faster and make smarter decisions based on trusted, verified content. Responsibility and final judgement always remain with the professional, consistent with Wolters Kluwer's responsible AI principles.

Wolters Kluwer brings AI-powered drafting directly into the Libra legal workspace.

Wolters Kluwer brings AI-powered drafting directly into the Libra legal workspace. In addition to Libra's existing Word Add-in, Drafting in Libra gives customers the flexibility to choose the drafting environment that best suits their workflow, while automatically applying their firm's existing templates ALPHEN AAN DEN RIJN, Netherlands-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory today announced the launch of Drafting, a major new capability within Libra by Wolters Kluwer, the company's legal AI workspace. Drafting enables legal professionals to create, edit, review, and collaborate on Word documents directly within the workspace, reducing the need to switch between separate applications throughout the drafting process. Together with Libra's existing Word Add-in, which is already widely used by legal professionals today, the new capability provides customers with a second, fully integrated way to draft their documents. Depending on their preferences and workflow, they can either remain within the Microsoft Word environment or work end-to-end in the Libra legal AI workspace. At the core of Drafting is the Libra Editor, a Word-style editing environment that enables users to work directly on legal documents while leveraging Libra's AI capabilities. Lawyers can draft new documents, revise existing content, collaborate with colleagues, manage tracked changes, leave comments, and conduct legal research without leaving the workspace. "We built Libra around a simple idea: meet lawyers where they are and support the way they already work," said Viktor von Essen, Co-Founder and CEO of Libra by Wolters Kluwer. "Our Word Add-in has already become an important part of many customers' daily workflows. With Drafting, we are extending that experience and bringing research, review and drafting together in a single integrated workspace. This enables legal professionals to automate more of the end-to-end process while staying firmly in control of the final outcome." A key differentiator of the new capability is its ability to work directly with Word documents and existing law firm templates. Firms can upload their Word templates, and Libra automatically recognizes, stores and applies their formatting to new documents, ensuring every draft aligns with the firm's house style without requiring manual reformatting. Working directly within a document, users can ask Libra to revise a specific clause, improve language, populate templates, or suggest alternative wording while keeping all changes visible and reviewable. Changes can be applied immediately or presented as suggestions that can be accepted or rejected, similar to Track Changes in Microsoft Word. In addition, the new feature integrates Libra's trusted legal research capabilities directly into the drafting workflow. Lawyers can research legal questions, access supporting sources, and apply findings to individual sections of a document without switching between tools or applications. The launch of Drafting represents a significant step in the continued evolution of Libra by Wolters Kluwer as an integrated and connected legal AI workspace. By bringing research, review and drafting together in a single workspace, Libra helps legal professionals move more efficiently from first question to final document while maintaining full transparency and oversight throughout the process. Looking ahead, it will be further enhanced with additional drafting capabilities, workflow automation, knowledge-driven document intelligence, and integrations with legal systems and document management environments.
