Requirements
  • A STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • Proven expertise in scalable and distributed systems development, containerized environments such as Kubernetes, Helm, and Podman, and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable software systems to support mission-critical operations.
  • Incorporate techniques such as machine learning models and AI-driven analytics to augment signal processing and network analysis capabilities.
  • Optimize system performance for distributed computing, microservices, and containerized environments, ensuring scalability and reliability under growing data and system demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate real-time data-driven solutions into existing and new platforms.
  • Work on projects involving large-scale data pipelines, message brokering systems, and adaptive algorithms.
  • Participate in internal reviews and contribute ideas to improve system performance and security.
  • Prototype and iterate on ideas that improve automation, efficiency, and collaborative systems.
  • Follow agile development practices and configuration management standards using modern DevSecOps tools and workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and applying machine learning or artificial intelligence models to analyze and simulate network traffic, signal processing, or other complex systems.
  • Knowledge of event-driven systems, messaging queues such as Kafka, and RESTful APIs or gRPC for scalable operations.
  • Experience architecting and optimizing microservices and containerized systems.
  • Familiarity with multithreading, parallel processing, and asynchronous programming best practices.
  • Embedded software design and hardware integration experience.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence projects to automate decision-making, detect anomalies, or enhance performance at scale.

Nightwing, an intelligence solutions company, has partnered with ProCustom Group to launch rugged laptops with integrated cybersecurity solutions. The new portfolio features PCG's customised commercial off-the-shelf rugged devices pre-installed with Nightwing's Boot Shield and Electronic Armor technologies. The integrated platform combines rugged notebooks with Intel AI-enabled processors, hot-swappable batteries and sunlight-readable displays alongside Nightwing's cyber resiliency tools. Boot Shield prevents boot-level attacks and firmware code injections, whilst Electronic Armor protects sensitive applications and data. The partnership aims to deliver secure computing solutions for mission-critical operations in extreme environments. The upcoming product range will include ruggedised laptops from 11 to 16 inches with customisable configurations. ProCustom Group specialises in environmental and electromagnetic hardening of ruggedised technology for military and aerospace applications.
