About the job

Requirements
  • You have built and run production systems, not just prototyped them.
  • You understand distributed systems, storage trade-offs, and serving memory inside a hot execution loop.
  • You can take a vague problem statement to a working system with minimal direction.
  • You have strong opinions about infrastructure design and are willing to defend them.
  • You care about the developer experience of the software development kit you are building and have experienced the frustrated-user perspective.
  • You are based in London and want to work on-site with the founding team every day.
Responsibilities
  • Co-own the architecture of Mubit's core infrastructure as the first engineering hire.
  • Get deeply familiar with the core storage and retrieval architecture, understand existing trade-offs, and determine what to change.
  • Work directly with early customers integrating Mubit into their agent stack, including LangGraph, CrewAI, and AutoGen.
  • Profile latency, identify bottlenecks, and fix them.
  • Contribute to the software development kit engineers use to connect their agents to Mubit.
  • Make infrastructure decisions that remain appropriate at substantially larger scale.
  • Identify problems, own trade-offs, and ship solutions.
  • Build and run the systems supporting production AI agents, including low-latency retrieval, access-controlled shared state, publish-subscribe event triggers, and execution history across agent fleets.

About the company

Mubit provides an memory and state infrastructure layer for enterprise AI agents, acting as a memory engine that stores experiences, extracts reusable lessons, and adds relevant context before each LLM call to enable continual learning without retraining. It operates through a four-step loop—Write, Retrieve, Reflect, Reinforce—to build durable, cross-agent memory and shared knowledge across agents via a unified API and memory layers. The platform offers multi-language SDKs and integrates with AI frameworks like CrewAI, LangGraph, LangChain, and LlamaIndex to help developers create long-running, memory-enabled agents. Mubit’s goal is to help development teams improve agent performance over time by retaining context and enabling cross-agent learning while managing context within token limits.

What believers are saying

  • Forbes named Mubit founders to 30 Under 30 Europe AI on April 14, 2026.
  • Closed beta drew nearly 1,500 engineers before launch, signaling strong developer pull.
  • Hoxton Ventures and Heavybit backed Mubit’s $2.1 million seed round in April 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Mubit remains in closed beta as of August 2026, delaying revenue conversion.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, LangGraph, and vector databases can absorb memory features quickly.
  • If agents standardize on model-native memory, Mubit becomes optional middleware.

What makes Mubit unique

  • Mubit’s June 2026 SDKs span Python, JavaScript, and Rust with gRPC and HTTP.
  • Its EU and US data residency supports regulated deployments across enterprise agents.
  • CrewAI, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, ADK, Agno, Vercel AI SDK, and MCP integrations reduce switching costs.
