- Two years of experience in an institutional setting.

- Conduct quality food preparation activities to achieve the desired menu.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor inventory and report discrepancies and utilization trends.
- Prepare appetizing and nutritional meals as directed.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen, coolers, storerooms, and dining room areas.
- Organize the coolers and storerooms in preparation for incoming orders.
- Plan, prepare, and pack meals for various day trips.
- Confer with on-duty cooks to determine whether assistance is needed with meal preparation or special events.
- Report resident-related problems to the Dietary Director or appropriate clinical staff.
- Set up, break down, and prepare dietary services at various training sessions.
- Communicate with staff and residents.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Dietary Director.
- Instruct assigned residents on the proper execution of their assigned duties.
