What believers are saying

  • QuoteWell raised $12 million in October 2025, reaching $32 million total capital.
  • The August 2026 Range launch expands margin capture beyond brokerage commissions.
  • Herald integration and 60-product quoting deepen agent stickiness and workflow dependence.

What critics are saying

  • Relying on construction specialty exposes QuoteWell to cyclic project delays and claim severity.
  • Range Underwriters directly collides with entrenched wholesalers like Amwins and Ryan Specialty.
  • If underwriting losses spike, reinsurance support tightens and the underwriting model breaks quickly.

What makes QuoteWell unique

  • Range Underwriters launched in August 2026 with proprietary construction excess wrap programs.
  • QuoteWell combines wholesale brokerage, AI-driven submission workflows, and human underwriting judgment.
  • It targets independent agents with carrier connectivity across admitted and E&S products.
