Requirements
  • Requires 10 years of project management experience in refining and oil and gas industries.

Responsibilities
  • Manage promotional projects by estimating professional-services man-hours with Engineering Resource Leaders while achieving project objectives.
  • Manage commercial contracts on assigned projects, ensure timely invoice payment, process Project Change Notices, review the monthly Office Earnings Report, and maintain current project plans.
  • Track discipline performance, budget progress, schedule commitments, and quality standards using available project-control tools.
  • Participate in major technical, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions on assigned projects.
  • Review project scope, specifications, client deliverables, and design criteria, and align the Hargrove team on deliverable schedules and budgets.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with the client team and stakeholders.
  • Recognize and communicate scope and design changes by leading the Project Change Notice process.
  • Build productive teams within Hargrove and with the client.
  • Coordinate resource requirements with ongoing project work and align stakeholder expectations.
  • Communicate plans to the team, project leadership, and client, and conduct weekly team coordination meetings.
  • Maintain timely and accurate weekly and monthly reports using a comprehensive action-item list.
  • Review engineering documents, vendor submittals, fabrication drawings, and construction submittals for compliance with drawings, specifications, engineering practice, and project objectives.
  • Ensure standard project work processes are followed through engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Interview discipline leads to maintain current progress against expended man-hour analysis.
  • Assess project team-member performance and work with resource leadership to organize a qualified and motivated project team.
  • Ensure project documentation is reviewed and approved by the client.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in the refining and oil and gas sectors.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to drive repeat business.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Lead and manage refining projects from concept through completion, including front-end engineering design, detailed design, and construction.
  • Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality for successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, including the American Petroleum Institute and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Act as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to meet client objectives.
