UI/UX Designer

Overview

Plutus is hiring a project-based UI/UX designer to build a design system for our products, spanning our web and mobile experiences. We're looking for a designer to build this for the team: a Figma library people trust, and real product screens built on it.

This is a part-time, project-based engagement.

What you'll work on

A design system spanning web and mobile. You'll build out the foundations, components, and patterns in Figma, and document them clearly enough for our engineers to build them into real product screens.

Deliverables

• A Figma library the team trusts and reuses: foundations, components, patterns
• The admin design system solid enough that real product screens use it by default
• Documentation and handoff to ensure design consistency and adoption

What we're looking for

Must have

• Experience shipping design systems for SaaS or B2B products
• Strong Figma skills: real components, variants, and bound variables, not just visually consistent screens
• Comfortable working directly with engineers
• Understanding of accessibility basics
• A portfolio of real, shipped, live products, not personal or concept work

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-platform or React Native design systems
• Experience with data-heavy dashboards
• Experience taking design tokens into code
• Experience migrating a product off a legacy UI kit
