About the company

Axiom Bio develops AI-powered predictive toxicology tools to help drug researchers identify liver toxicity early in development. Its platform uses a large proprietary dataset of over 115,000 small molecules screened on primary human liver cells, with imaging, biochemical readouts, pharmacokinetic data, and curated clinical outcomes to train models. The platform predicts hepatotoxicity and related pathways such as mitochondrial toxicity, ER stress, and ROS formation, providing mechanistic insights to guide decision-making. Its goal is to reduce time, cost, and risk in preclinical development by replacing costly animal tests with accurate, affordable in-silico predictions.

What believers are saying

  • Axiom updated its website on August 25, 2026, signaling active product iteration.
  • ACS scheduled an October 13, 2026 webinar, expanding scientific visibility.
  • A $15 million April 2025 seed from Amplify, Dimension, and Zetta funds commercialization.

What critics are saying

  • Axiom disclosed no commercial customers in September 2026, leaving revenue tied to pilots.
  • One failed hepatotoxicity benchmark destroys trust faster than animal-assay incumbents lose business.
  • If FDA keeps requiring animal studies, Axiom's core replacement thesis collapses by 2027.

What makes Axiom Bio unique

  • Axiom Bio’s June 2025 human liver dataset spans 130,000 compounds and clinical outcomes.
  • Its March 2026 model card explains hepatotoxicity pathways, not just black-box toxicity scores.
  • Pilot studies with six top-twenty pharma companies validate a rare, specialized safety workflow.
