Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in business with an emphasis in accounting.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns for clients, including return drafts, quarterly estimates, vouchers, extension preparation, and projections.
  • Research changes in tax regulations and develop tax planning skills at the federal and state levels.
  • Support client engagements as an individual contributor and as part of a team, potentially across industries including technology, real estate, education, cannabis, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with professionals on client projects through meetings, chat, and email.
  • Develop accounting software skills through instructor-led courses, self-guided learning, workflow updates, and on-the-job training.
  • Work toward completing CPA certification with support from Armanino through preparation materials and classes.
  • Create an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion where all perspectives are valued and all people are welcomed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Plan to complete the 150-semester or 225-quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028.

Armanino names Anthony Sciarra as partner-in-charge of national tax practice

Armanino, a top 20 US accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Anthony Sciarra as Partner-in-Charge of Tax, effective 1 June. Sciarra will lead the firm's largest service area, overseeing strategy, growth and operations across its national tax team. Sciarra joins from PwC, where he held senior tax leadership roles focused on growth strategy and tax transformation. His career spans over two decades, including senior positions at AIG and Enstar Group, managing complex tax functions across global organisations. The appointment is part of broader leadership changes within the Tax practice. Caleb Crandell will expand his role to oversee core middle-market tax services. Armanino's Tax practice operates across 30 offices with over 800 professionals serving clients from privately held businesses to high-net-worth individuals.

Armanino acquires MSTiller to expand Southeast presence with 110-person team

Armanino, the San Ramon-based accounting firm ranked 18th on Accounting Today's 2025 Top 100 Firms list, has acquired MSTiller to expand its presence in the Southeast. The acquisition adds 10 partners and approximately 110 employees across four offices. MSTiller advises middle-market organisations, family-owned businesses and private foundations across industries including automotive dealerships, construction, hospitality and real estate development. The firm had a longstanding relationship with Armanino through the Moore Global network. Armanino reported $716 million in revenue with 262 partners and roughly 2,700 employees across 22 offices. The firm took a minority investment from Further Global Capital Management in October 2024 and recently acquired Step Up Consulting in February 2026.

The integration will enhance Armanino's Audit Ally and Armanino Access ecosystem, providing clients with real-time visibility into audit progress and deeper business insights. The platform incorporates AI capabilities including intelligent risk identification, anomaly detection, and automated documentation support whilst maintaining professional oversight. Clients can securely connect their ERP systems directly to the platform, reducing manual document preparation time and enabling ongoing testing. Armanino's partnership with Inflo represents a significant investment in technology aimed at improving client experience and audit quality. Inflo, founded in 2015, serves over 430,000 accountants across 113 countries with its digital audit platform.
