About the job
- At least 3 years of experience in an electrical technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics.

- Ability to repeatedly lift 30 pounds to waist height during the workday.
- Troubleshoot robotic systems using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Install wiring, programs, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, and other equipment.
- Perform the electrical build of entire robotic systems and validate functionality, ensuring all electrical systems meet quality, safety, and compliance standards before shipment.
- Conduct final electrical checks and diagnostics on wiring harnesses, sensors, motors, and other critical components.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues or failures by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Maintain service records for robotic equipment or automated production systems and detailed logs of test results, repairs, and modifications.
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
- Provide feedback to design and engineering teams to improve product designs and streamline the testing process.
- Align, fit, or assemble wire harnesses using hand tools, soldering tools, fixtures, and measurement equipment.
- Experience working around robotic systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards for electrical safety and compliance, including IPC standards and MIL-STD.
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems.
- Experience assembling automation systems.
- Experience troubleshooting automation systems.
- Experience operating Fanuc or Yaskawa robots.
- Experience wiring electrical systems and cabinets to drawing standards.
- Experience with basic shop tools and safety.
- Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
- Experience with offline programming.
- Experience with human-machine interface and programmable logic controller programming.
- Knowledge of fieldbus networks, serial communication, and Ethernet communication.
- Exposure to production machinery, industrial sensors, and industrial power systems, including computer vision, laser distance sensors, servo drives, and feedback devices.
- Ability to work effectively with little to no supervision and obtain necessary resources to complete tasks.
- Experience solving complex problems individually or as part of a team.
