About the company

Recursion uses a data-driven platform to speed up drug discovery in TechBio by combining large biological and patient datasets with wet-lab experiments. It runs tens of thousands of experiments weekly to profile genes and compounds across many cell types, and processes results on its BioHive 1 supercomputer to map billions of gene–compound relationships. This approach lets Recursion identify potential drug candidates by turning experimental data into actionable insights, and it collaborates through strategic partnerships with pharma companies, labs, and healthcare providers rather than pursuing traditional in-house discovery alone. Its goal is to decode biology at scale and translate findings into new medicines that help patients.
