- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Three years of experience in the clinical area with a minimum of one year in the area of specialty, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two years of experience in the clinical area with a minimum of one year in the area of specialty.
- Hold a current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Compact license, or Multistate license.
- Hold certification in the American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Meet visual color acuity requirements depending on the role in specific units.
- Provide supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
- Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.
- Work with a unit-specific patient population.
- Additional Life Support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
