Requirements
  • An HNC, HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Significant experience supervising piping fabrication and construction activities on major engineering, procurement, and construction industrial projects is required.
  • Experience in power generation, petrochemical, oil and gas, liquefied natural gas, carbon capture, energy transition, or process plant environments is required.
  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, and testing requirements is required.
  • Experience managing interfaces between fabrication suppliers and construction contractors is required.
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME, EN, and applicable project specifications, is required.
  • Demonstrable understanding of welding, non-destructive testing, hydrotesting, and mechanical completion processes is required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality management systems and inspection requirements is required.
  • A CSCS card or equivalent site qualification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with site health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Promote proactive safety leadership through site engagement, toolbox talks, and safety observations.
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Identify and escalate safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Participate in incident investigations and lessons-learned activities where required.
  • Monitor and supervise piping fabrication activities at supplier facilities.
  • Ensure fabrication complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality requirements.
  • Verify progress against fabrication schedules and identify risks to delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, hold points, and witness activities with Quality and Client representatives.
  • Review fabrication performance and drive resolution of technical and quality issues.
  • Monitor material traceability, welding compliance, non-destructive testing activities, and documentation requirements.
  • Support expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of fabricated pipework to site.
  • Directly supervise site piping installation activities performed by construction contractors.
  • Ensure piping erection, fit-up, welding, supports installation, hydrotesting, and reinstatement comply with project requirements.
  • Monitor contractor productivity and performance against agreed schedules.
  • Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
  • Verify construction work is carried out using approved procedures and construction work packs.
  • Support development and execution of construction plans, look-ahead schedules, and resource forecasts.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with site quality and safety requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Support implementation of inspection and test plans.
  • Participate in inspections, walkdowns, and punch-list management activities.
  • Drive timely closure of quality non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Monitor progress against construction and fabrication schedules.
  • Identify potential delays and implement mitigation measures.
  • Provide accurate progress reporting to the Construction Management team.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings, progress reviews, and contractor performance discussions.
  • Assist with planning work fronts to support efficient project execution.
  • Support safe execution of piping fabrication and installation activities, compliance with project quality standards and specifications, contractor and supplier performance monitoring, progress achievement, issue escalation, and mechanical completion and commissioning handover.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience on carbon capture, energy transition, or large-scale power projects.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Experience working within multinational engineering, procurement, and construction organisations.
  • Familiarity with completions and commissioning systems.

Technip Energies wins contracts for 1,200 KTA ethylene cracker complex in Türkiye

Technip Energies has been awarded engineering and technology contracts by Petkim, a SOCAR subsidiary, for a proposed integrated petrochemical complex in Aliağa, Türkiye. The contracts include licensing for a mixed-feed ethylene cracking unit, integrated Process Design Package, and Front-End Engineering Design services. The scope covers a steam cracker with approximately 1,200 kilotons per annum ethylene production capacity and 550 kilotons per annum propylene capacity, plus an 850 kilotons per annum HDPE/LLDPE complex and 550 kilotons per annum polypropylene plant. The complex will produce petrochemical building blocks for packaging materials, consumer goods, automotive components, and industrial applications. The contracts represent a pre-Final Investment Decision phase. Technip Energies recorded the award in Q3 2026 across its Project Delivery and Technology, Products & Services segments.

X1 Wind closes fourth funding round led by Grow VP and Avançsa

X1 Wind, a floating wind technology developer, has closed its fourth strategic funding round led by Grow VP, which will acquire around 8% of the company's share capital. Avançsa will acquire a similar stake. The round included conversion of instruments from existing shareholders Technip Energies, EIC Fund and CDTI Innvierte. The funding will support X1 Wind's transition from technology validation to commercial deployment. The company is advancing the NextFloat project, deploying its X100 8.5 MW floating platform at the PlemCat test site in Catalonia, Spain. The site has received environmental impact assessment approval, with manufacturing expected to begin in 2027. X1 Wind's technology combines a tension-leg platform design with semi-submersible structure features, aiming to reduce costs whilst maintaining stability.

Technip Energies wins $56M-$280M engineering contract for ADNOC Offshore project in UAE

Technip Energies has won a contract from Larsen & Toubro Energy Hydrocarbon to provide detailed engineering services for an ADNOC Offshore project in the United Arab Emirates. The contract, valued between €50 million and €250 million, was recorded in the third quarter of 2026. The project involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of new offshore facilities, along with modifications to existing infrastructure. Technip Energies will leverage its local engineering capabilities and offshore project experience in the Middle East. The award strengthens the long-standing partnership between Technip Energies and Larsen & Toubro across upstream, downstream and energy infrastructure projects globally. Loïc Chapuis, president of project delivery and services at Technip Energies, said the contract reflects trust in the company's engineering excellence and track record in complex offshore projects.

Technip Energies signs EDF framework deal for EPR2 nuclear reactor program

Technip Energies has signed a framework agreement with EDF to support the French utility's nuclear new build programme, focusing on the EPR2 reactor design. The partnership formalises Technip Energies' role in key nuclear infrastructure work and aims to establish long-term cooperation on future projects. The deal comes as Technip Energies faces profitability pressures. In the second quarter of 2026, the company reported sales of €2.04 billion, up from €1.77 billion year-on-year, whilst net income fell to €12.1 million from €86.7 million. First-half net income dropped to €96.6 million from €189.3 million. The agreement gives Technip Energies access to long-duration nuclear work less dependent on LNG and hydrocarbon projects. Shares closed at €29.46, down 20.1% over the past year.

Technip Energies hits $28.3B backlog record despite Middle East conflict costs dragging margins down 350bp

Technip Energies reported €3.7 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026, stable year-over-year, but recurring EBITDA fell approximately one-third to €212 million due to operational challenges in the Middle East. The engineering firm achieved record order intake of €12.7 billion, driving backlog to an all-time high of €25 billion, up more than 50% year to date. Notably, 75% of new orders over the past 24 months came from outside the Middle East, demonstrating commercial diversification. Project delivery margins declined to 4.3%, down 350 basis points, impacted by conflict-related costs and provisions. The company lowered its full-year project delivery margin guidance to 5% plus whilst raising Technology, Products, and Services margin guidance by 50 basis points. Technip Energies maintained a robust balance sheet with gross cash of €4.8 billion and committed €300 million to shareholder returns through dividends and buybacks.
