Requirements
- At least 5 years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
- At least 5 years of commercial electrical field work or similar experience.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of the current National Electrical Code.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions while keeping clients and employees informed of business decisions.
- Ability to influence others with the self-confidence to push back when required.
- Initiative to drive results and participate in critical decisions.
- Strong analytical skills, including creating customer reports and highlighting key data.
- Experience automating processes for efficiency.
- Experience and understanding of electrical estimating software, specifically Accubid.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with analyzing the current Central Ohio construction market for trends and opportunities.
- Create sales opportunities by leveraging industry contacts to provide electrical estimates.
- Understand contract terms, bid requests, proposals, specification books, and blueprints.
- Assist with completing individual project bids and proposals.
- Maintain the integrity of estimating and project management reporting functions.
- Build relationships with ownership, operations, sales, service, and vendors.
- Collaborate with field and office staff.
- Complete special projects as requested by management.
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management or electrical engineering.
- CAD/BIM experience.
- Experience with an enterprise resource planning system.
