- Administer Linux servers, services, user accounts, file systems, patches, and access controls.
- Monitor system performance and availability, analyze logs, and troubleshoot complex operational issues.
- Serve as a primary technical resource for network troubleshooting across Linux hosts and connected infrastructure.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and interface bonding.
- Analyze packet flow, connectivity, latency, and service communication issues across local and remote systems.
- Support network integration and interoperability of Linux systems with mission platforms, enclaves, and external interfaces.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance system capabilities using shell scripting or Python.
- Implement system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with security requirements.
- Support backup, recovery, continuity, and system restoration procedures.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, software, and systems engineering teams to maintain reliable operations.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, system procedures, and configuration baselines.
- Support lab, test, deployment, and operational environments as required.
- Provide support for specialized defense systems.
- US Navy and submarine system experience is highly desired.
