Requirements
  • One to two years of experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting is required.
  • Experience treating patients aged six months and older in an urgent care or emergency room setting is required.
  • Ability to comfortably perform minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints, and perform overview reads of electrocardiograms and X-rays.
  • A current applicable state registered nurse license is required.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • An applicable state Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive privileges is required.
  • Basic Life Support for Providers certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Responsibilities
  • Treat pediatric and adult patient populations of all ages.
  • Perform minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints, and perform overview reads of electrocardiograms and X-rays.
  • Collaborate with on-site radiologic technologists, medical assistants, and paramedics for support.
  • Work with a scribe when available.
  • Practice exclusively urgent care medicine, without primary care, Department of Transportation, or occupational medicine duties.
