Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, although appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
  • Five years of experience is required.
  • CITI training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management is required.
  • Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities of the clinical research trials program and support the team in achieving program goals.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and manage study budgets.
  • Oversee the recruitment, screening, enrollment, and consent of program participants, and conduct or coordinate participant training.
  • Coordinate research protocols, including arranging appointments and procedures, collaborating with departments and institutions, and maintaining contact with study participants.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of research data; report program data and progress to study investigators; and develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive program databases and files.
  • Identify problems or obstacles in systems and procedures related to research protocol implementation and communicate them to study investigators.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Institutional Review Board and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Prepare Institutional Review Board documents and reports, and evaluate and write research protocols in collaboration with the study investigator.
  • Coordinate and manage program outreach activities, including serving as a liaison with community organizations.
  • Collaborate on the development of educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
  • Manage the program timeline, including tracking deadlines for program components.
  • Organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
  • Manage study-related budgets and provide reports to department administration and funding agencies.
  • Participate in developing program resources through literature searches, contact with outside programs, and review of funding opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Preferred experience includes inpatient clinical trials, financial experience, startup experience, and regulatory experience.
