Responsibilities
Use building information modeling software to create 3D plans for projects.
Collaborate with architects and engineers on projects.
Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data using the discipline's building information modeling platform.
Use the proper elements and scale for projects.
Perform architects' layouts and enter marked-up drawings into building information modeling software in accordance with standards.
Prepare copies and help assemble document sets for transmittal to other parties.
Work under the direction of design professionals and team leaders.

A BIM modeler uses building information modeling software to create a three-dimensional visual plan for a project. used to aid decision-making during the building process. BIM modelers work closely with architects and structural engineers.
The BIM modeler must be able to understand not only how a building fits together but how a building can be modelled accurately in a BIM environment expert having a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role provides a base level to progress to multiple career paths.
Responsibilities
