Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Four to six years of relevant technical or operational experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • At least two years of experience with aseptic processing and packaging systems; Tetra Pak equipment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell), human-machine interface systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition platforms such as Ignition and Wonderware.
  • Knowledge of motion control, variable-frequency drives, safety hardware, robotics, and vision inspection systems such as Cognex and Keyence.
  • Experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting processing and packaging equipment, including off-hours support as needed.
  • Understanding of food processing and packaging operations, FDA regulations, and NFPA 70/70E/78 standards.
  • AutoCAD experience.
Responsibilities
  • Provide machine support for safety controllers, programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, robots, motion control, measurement systems, instrumentation, material-handling systems, industrial networks, and computer system hardware/software applications for manufacturing execution systems and data collection systems.
  • Perform work using plant electrical controls standards.
  • Use the Change Management Process to support the implementation, performance, and continuous improvement of company initiatives.
  • Schedule and manage upgrades, overhauls, and conversions of aseptic filling and processing lines.
  • Provide training in the operation and maintenance of aseptic filling and processing lines.
  • Participate in rotating after-hours support for engineering groups.
