Fox intends to remain in his role through the end of the first quarter of 2027 to support a thoughtful and orderly transition. Northern Trust plans to conduct a comprehensive internal and external search for its next Chief Financial Officer. During this time, it is expected that Fox will continue to lead Finance and work closely with Michael O'Grady, chairman and chief executive officer, and the leadership team to help ensure continuity across the company's financial, regulatory, investor and strategic priorities. "Dave has been a trusted and valued leader whose judgment, discipline and financial stewardship have strengthened Northern Trust," said Michael O'Grady, chairman and chief executive officer. Since joining Northern Trust in 2012, Fox has made important contributions across the firm. As Chief Financial Officer, he has overseen Northern Trust's global financial strategy, functions and operations. Earlier, as President of Global Family and Private Investment Offices and Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas for Corporate & Institutional Services, he helped advance important wealth management and institutional businesses, bringing focus to complex client needs, strengthening business performance and supporting the company's continued growth and competitiveness. Before joining Northern Trust, Fox spent more than 25 years at JPMorgan in New York, London and Chicago, where he served in various leadership roles. Fox holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. He is a Life Trustee and former Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Goodman Theatre in Chicago and is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago. Northern Trust appoints head of private markets for MidEast. 15 September 2026 Chicago-based asset manager and custody bank Northern Trust has appointed Olivier Noël to the newly-created role of head of private Markets, Emea. Noël is currently country head of Northern Trust in Luxembourg, leader of the bank's Luxembourg-based asset servicing business - roles that he will maintain in addition to his expanded responsibilities. He reports into Nick Gilbert, head of asset servicing for Emea, Northern Trust. Noël joined Northern Trust in 2005 as its head of Luxembourg transfer agency. In his career since, he has worked in senior roles including as chief operating officer (COO) of Northern Trust's Luxembourg Management Company S.A business from 2011, and as COO for NTGS SE since 2020. He has been a member of the NTGS SE authorised management team since 2020. He previously worked at BNP Paribas Securities Services for five years where he managed a number of transfer agency functions including shareholder administration and commission management as well as head of the dealing team. He holds a marketing degree from the Institut D'Enseignement Supérieur de Namur in Belgium.
Northern Trust Wealth Management has appointed Cynthia Brown as president of The Northern Trust Company of Delaware. Brown will report to Chief Fiduciary Officer Laura Mandel and oversee the firm's specialised trust services in Nevada. Brown brings over 20 years of trust and fiduciary experience. She most recently served as director of special situs trusts and president of the Delaware Trust Company for Mechanics Bank. Previously, she spent two decades at Commonwealth Trust Company after four years in private law practice. Brown succeeds David Diamond, who has held the role since 2014 and will remain with the business until his retirement at year-end. Northern Trust Wealth Management had $534 billion in assets under management as of 30 June 2026.

Northern Trust has been appointed by Warwickshire Pension Fund to provide global custody, valuation reporting, capital call execution and performance measurement services. The UK public pension fund manages approximately £3.6 billion in assets. The mandate strengthens Northern Trust's pension-servicing franchise, though contract duration and fees were not disclosed. Warwickshire's assets represent roughly 0.024% of Northern Trust's $20 trillion in assets under custody or administration as of June 30. Warwickshire is one of 18 partner funds in Border to Coast Pensions Partnership. Successful delivery could provide Northern Trust with a reference for additional pension mandates. Northern Trust reported second-quarter custody and fund administration fees of $512.3 million, up approximately 9% year-over-year. Management attributed the growth primarily to favourable markets and net new business.
