Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in product design or relevant design degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 5-7 yrs experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products
  • Passion for Sport and Culture
  • Previous footwear design experience preferred.
  • Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills
  • Must be able to create accurate 2D technical drawings
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
  • 3D knowledge and experience a plus
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, Powerpoint, Acrobat, etc.

Responsibilities
  • working in the Kids segments of Nike sports and lifestyle, from grade school to toddler product
  • concepting and ideating all the way to finalizing tech packs
  • collaborate with our Design and Category management teams to create innovative product designs that appeal to targeted consumers and advance Nike's design image and product performance
  • proactively follow the execution of all product details, including construction, color, form, style, detail, fit, performance and cost/value requirements
  • produce product concepts and creative strategy to internal and external audiences
  • actively develop appropriate designs with regard to cost/value, fit and performance, manufacturability, sustainability, merchandising and aesthetic finish
