Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push, bend, stoop, reach upward, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must understand the overall functions and procedures of Banquets and Catering.
  • Must be flexible with the schedule and adjust to the hotel's business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the area continuously to ensure quality guest service and comfort.
  • Know all menu items, specials, beverages, and wines, and be able to read and understand banquet event orders (BEOs).
  • Serve items using appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
  • Assist other servers and set up housepersons as needed.
  • Relay guest complaints and compliments to management immediately.
  • Maintain health and sanitation standards.
  • Follow safe-serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Assist with setting tables using linen, basic silverware, and glassware while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
  • Assist with breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.
