Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Zero to two years of modality-specific work experience.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or obtaining it within one year in the position if not already registered.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED certification for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Ability to perform the listed physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Ability to maintain required corrected vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, hearing, tactile sensory function, and color discrimination.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex-safe environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Utilize available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to provide accurate and timely imaging services.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Adhere to established safety standards, infection-control practices, and MRI-specific protocols.
  • Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care.
  • Care for, maintain, and perform quality control of MRI equipment and work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of X-ray experience is preferred.
