About the job
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be available to work weekday evenings and Saturdays.
- Must attend mandatory training sessions.
- Must hold current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state.
- Must pass a background and driving record check.
- Must understand departmental methods, procedures, and policies.
- Must know relevant laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Must be able to organize work around broad organizational goals.
- Must communicate effectively and provide regular reports to supervisors.
- Must be capable of overseeing complex program development.
- Must be able to implement policies and procedures for successful operations.
- Must be able to exert moderate physical effort for medium work, including frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds, and performing activities such as balancing, climbing, and kneeling.
- Set up fields and facilities for games and practices.
- Communicate with parents and coaches, distribute updated schedules, and address questions and concerns.
- Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for players, spectators, and coaches.
- Inspect equipment for safety and ensure proper use of facilities.
- Operate equipment safely and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Report accidents, incidents, and disciplinary actions to the supervisor.
- Greet patrons, answer questions, and provide customer service.
- Communicate with staff and public safety officials during emergencies.
- Maintain equipment inventories and request orders as needed.
- Interact professionally and courteously with supervisors, staff, and the public.
- Perform general custodial work and maintain organized, clean workspaces.
- Report public hazards to the immediate supervisor.
- Attend department meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- General knowledge of sports and game day events.
