As a Principal Product Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing the product roadmap and contribute significantly to the product strategy. This includes maintaining, prioritizing, aligning and socializing product goals and requirements to meet the needs of our customers and partners. Partners directly with engineering leaders, architects, sales, marketing, and research to define and deliver the next generation of vulnerability assessment.
Execute Platform Strategy - Help develop a clear and actionable strategy for building and evolving the ecosystem, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives
Ecosystem Development and Management - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the Tenable ecosystem to enable seamless integration with our platform. Ensure the ecosystem is well-documented, secure, and scalable to accommodate a growing number of users and partners
Cross-functional collaboration - Work closely with internal and external engineering teams to prioritize development efforts, guide technical requirements, and ensure alignment with ecosystem goals
Market Analysis and Customer Feedback - Gather feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to inform product decisions and prioritize feature enhancements
Performance Monitoring and Optimization - Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the success and adoption of our ecosystem. Continuously monitor usage, performance metrics, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization
Roadmap Planning and Execution - Create and prioritize a comprehensive roadmap for ecosystem development. Define clear objectives, key results (OKRs), and success metrics. Drive the execution of the roadmap by working closely with engineering teams, ensuring timely delivery of platform capabilities
Stakeholder Management - Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding ecosystem initiatives. Build strong relationships with developers, and customers to gather feedback, understand requirements, and evangelize the platform
Developer Experience (DX) Enhancement - champion the developer experience by identifying opportunities to streamline onboarding, documentation, tools, and support services. Work with engineering teams to enhance developer productivity, satisfaction, and engagement with the ecosystem
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related (or equivalent experience)
Based in the greater Boston MA, San Jose/ San Francisco CA, or Baltimore/Columbia MD areas
Proven experience (8+ years) as a Technical Product Manager or similar role, preferably in building ecosystems or developer-focused products
Experience with on-prem and SaaS solutions
Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong project and time management skills
Hands-on experience with REST APIs and scripting languages
Exceptionally strong project and time management skills
Broad knowledge of cyber security markets and products
