Requirements
  • You have spent years thinking about how business owners and the accountants who serve them actually run financial operations. You know the difference between a bookkeeper, a controller, a fractional CFO, and an outside accountant, and you have built product for at least one of them.
  • Deep, hands-on familiarity with at least two of: QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Acumatica. Not "I know they exist." Actually built in or integrated to them at depth.
  • You can journal a transaction without looking it up. You understand accrual versus cash basis, the close cycle, what a 1099 is for, and why a controller cares about the audit trail.
  • You have built either inside an accounting platform, on top of one as an integration partner, or built a fintech product that lives natively in the accounting workflow.
  • You understand the accountant channel and how CPAs influence product adoption. Bonus if you have built for or partnered with CPAs directly.
  • Typically 4 to 10 years of experience. Title is not the point.
  • We want to hear from you. We value passion, determination, and honesty. If you do not match every line of the spec but you can show us the work, apply anyway. Unusual paths and rare skills are how you stand out at Flex.
Responsibilities
  • Define the strategy and own the connectivity layer to the accounting and ERP systems our customers' accountants use. QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, etc.
  • Build expense management that works for owners and the accountants reconciling on their behalf. Receipt capture, GL coding, approval workflows, integration into the accounting tools without requiring manual reconciliation downstream.
  • Own bill pay and AR/AP. The workflow from invoice received to vendor paid, from invoice sent to customer paid, with full reconciliation back to the accounting system.
  • Build the invoicing product. We do not have a real invoicing offering today and customers are starting to ask. Decide what shape it takes and ship it.
  • Architect the connection between business financial data and personal financial data. This is the wedge no other fintech has. Make the integrated owner life real in product so the accountant can deliver it cleanly.
  • Partner closely with the Banking, Credit, Cards, and Payments product owners so financial flows tie out cleanly across the stack. No seams. No reconciliation tax for the accountant or the customer.
  • Translate the controller, CFO, and CPA persona for the rest of the company. We need someone who speaks both owner and accountant fluently. And can translate it to the owner mindset.

Flex.one provides a digital business banking platform that lets companies earn interest on idle cash (up to 4%), manage expenses in real time, issue team cards, and send free domestic ACH and wire payments. It works by letting clients keep funds on the platform, which accrues interest, while offering real-time reporting, expense management, card issuance, and fee-free payments; revenue comes from service fees and interest on client cash. It differentiates itself by combining high-interest cash potential with a full set of banking tools in one platform, plus ongoing security audits and fraud protections. Its goal is to help businesses maximize cash utility and profitability by streamlining financial operations and providing cost-effective payments with added rewards, all supported by strong security.

Flex gets $70 million to grow personal finance and business banking.

Flex gets $70 million to grow personal finance and business banking. July 16, 2026 Flex has raised $70 million in a new funding round. The money will help the company grow its business and build new tools for business owners. Flex is a business banking company based in California. It helps people manage both their business money and their personal finance in one place. The company also gives banking, payments, credit and accounting tools. Flex said it will use the new money to grow its team. It plans to increase its workers from 110 to more than 200 by the end of the year. The company also started a new service called Flex Global. This service lets users send and get money across many countries. It supports 32 money types and works in 76 countries. It also uses stablecoin technology in the background to help make payments faster. Customers do not need to know how the technology works. Flex says it now handles more than $10 billion in yearly payment volume. The company also says its business is growing four times faster than last year. With Flex Global, the company wants to compete with other business finance firms like Brex and Ramp. Flex hopes to become the main banking partner for business owners who work in many countries. The new funding shows that many investors believe Flex can keep growing. The company wants to make it easier for business owners to manage all their money in one simple place.

Flex Chooses Atlar for AI-Native Treasury Management

Flex chooses Atlar for AI-Native treasury management. US-based Flex, the financial platform for business owners, has selected Atlar for AI-powered cash management and payments, with a native integration to its ERP, Campfire. Flex is one of the fastest-growing financial platforms in the US. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company is building an AI-Native Private Bank for Business Owners - unifying the entire lifecycle of money for business owners, spanning private credit, business banking, expense management, payments, and personal finance. Flex has raised over $100 million in total equity funding, including a recent $60 million Series B, and has grown revenue 4x year-over-year. The company joins a growing number of US-based companies selecting Atlar, as the platform expands across the Atlantic. A challenge shaped by speed and complexity. Operating a financial platform at Flex's scale means the finance team needs to know exactly where cash is at all times. With a business model that requires constant cash positioning, the team was spending significant time each day manually monitoring balances across dozens of banking and payment accounts with no unified view. Compliance added another layer of complexity: all payments required at least two levels of approval, but not all of the team's bank portals supported this, leaving gaps that had to be managed manually. Why Flex chose Atlar. Flex selected Atlar to bring all of these accounts into a single view with the controls the team needed, including a native integration with Flex's ERP, Campfire. "We needed a treasury platform that could keep up with the pace we operate at. Atlar gives us a consolidated view across all of our accounts and the real-time visibility we were missing." - Brian Ehrlich, Senior Director of Finance and Accounting at Flex. "Having real-time visibility, automated reconciliation, proper approval workflows, and a full audit trail in one place means less time on manual checks and more time on the work that moves the needle." - Jacob Martin, Controller at Flex. Atlar is proud to welcome Flex to Atlar, and excited to support the team as they scale. Get started. Want to learn more about Atlar? Book a demo or get in touch.
