Job Details

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:

• Serves as a consultant/resource to nursing staff in interpreting policy/procedure standards and evidence-based practices of nursing care.
• Clinical oversight and safe development of the new hires and assist with the transition of the newly licensed graduates into nursing practice.

• Meets regularly with orientees and preceptors.
• Confers with Director of Nursing Education regarding the competency of new hires.
• Provides teaching instructions to staff members while assessing and evaluating staff competency.
• Participates in the planning and analysis of educational programs based on evidence- based standards and guidelines to meet the needs of nursing staff members.
• Collaborates with the health care team to provide safe and high quality patient care

Requirments:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN). Masters in Nursing preferred (APRN- Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Educator). 
• NYS RN License required.     
• Excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, families, and staff.   
• Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.
• Current ACLS and BLS required. 

Posted Salary Range

USD $55.46 - USD $73.32 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
