Requirements
  • A master's degree in or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of academic majors in the Humanities or history of arts, including an appropriate Humanities-related interdisciplinary field.
  • Ability to work successfully in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory, and classroom settings to promote student success.
  • Support the college and departmental missions through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and timely service.
  • Collaborate with the Director, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum that cultivates mastery of course content.
  • Demonstrate technological literacy and innovation in delivering instruction.
  • Collaborate as part of an academic team.
  • Assist with implementing college policies, objectives, functions, strategic initiatives, and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collegewide committees as needed.
  • Provide students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback about academic performance.
  • Document student progress and maintain records of attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes.
  • Develop methods to fairly and accurately assess student progress toward stated learning outcomes and objectives.
  • Maintain office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
  • Protect the privacy and security of student records and sensitive information in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Comply with college rules, procedures, guidelines, laws, document-retention requirements, FERPA, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Provide courteous, informed, accessible, and professional service to students and colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
